Overview on Kitab Al-Ghadir

Al-Ghadir fi Al-Kitab wal Sunnah wal Adab (also known as Kitab Al-Ghadir) by Abdul-Hussain Al-Amini has been widely recognized by Shias as the most important book on the subject. Al-Amini, who is seen as the authority on “everything Ghadir Khumm”, penned this multi-volume set in order to establish the Imamah of Ali bin Abi Talib on the “Day of Ghadir”.

The first volume of his work contains all the traditions and sources of the Ghadir Khumm Sermon, which has been compiled by the author. The volume also includes the arguments and evidences by the author that affirm his view of the Imamate of Ali.

Due to the significance of the text, we at ghadirkhumm.com have taken it upon ourselves to refutes the arguments from the book that strictly revolve around the topic of the Imamate of Ali at Ghadir Khumm. Below are the topics that will be covered in detail:

Ghadir and the Qur’an

Ayat Al-Tableegh (5:67)

Ayat Ikmaal Al-Deen (5:1)

Ayat Sa’ala Sa’ilun (70:1)

It is important for readers to be aware that our intention is not to refute the full book, but to simply focus on that which is related to the topic of Ghadir Khumm. Those that are not familiar with the book itself will be surprised to learn that only one volume out of the eleven (Markaz Al-Ghadir First edition) includes proper evidences for the Shia understanding.
