The following project is a complete grading of all the chains of hadith Al-Ghadir. The list is based on Al-Amini’s list which consists of 110 Companions. We have also looked into the additional paths that are provided by Abdul Aziz Al-Tabtaba’ee in order to make sure that not a single chain goes unnoticed. The purpose of this research is to come to a conclusion in regards to the most authentic paths and wording.

It is important to keep in mind that Al-Amini goes out of his way to include as many names as possible, and in many cases, does not even have chains for the Companions that he includes in his list. This occurs due to his reliable on late sources that quote from earlier sources that he does not have access to. One example of this is Nukhab Al-Manaqib by Ibn Al-Ja’abi. He states 1/42 that he quotes the paths of this book from late sources like Manaqib Aal Abi Talib and Dhiya’ Al-Alimeen. However, upon returning to those two sources, we find that neither of them includes chains. (Refer to Al-Manaqib 3/20 and Al-Dhiya’ 6/175)

Below we have listed the names of the Companions based on a transliterated alphabetical order to ease one’s search for the names that they are looking for. In the end, we have included a section for those known by their kunya and another for female narrators. Refer to our page on the correct wording of the narration for our conclusions.
